Gods LOVE

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family. I feel very emotional and very grateful be able to see my baby sister get sealed for time and eternity. I love my baby sister and am so proud of her. There is nothing in this life like finding the person you wants to spend eternity with. The sealing was extra special; the gentleman sealing mentioned that he could feel the presences of angles in the room with us. Many eyes in the room teared up instantly. He then went on to explain that these angles, were people who have passed on from this life. For a moment it seemed as if time stood still as we tried to feel there presence. I am 100% sure that both my grandmas where there to witness kenzie's marriage as she was sealed for time and all eternity. It was such a magical moment. Oh how I miss my grandmothers, but I know they are watching over us. God loves us so much, there is proof in how much he loves us everywhere.

Wendy, what a beautiful story! Congratulations!!! I have been struggling for a couple of months now with our family issues and that was a real pick me up. Some of you may not know yet but Marc and Nicky are separating and it's been really hard on our family. Marc has a wonderful testimony and has been very strong through this trial. I love Nicky and I miss her. I have a testimony too but I'm having a hard time understanding why this is all happening and have let it bring me down on a regular basis. I am so grateful for such wonderful relatives and for the support we have for each other. I have been very sad to hear that Ryan and Tana are divorcing too. Life is really hard sometimes and we need these beautiful miracles to keep us strong and moving foreward.

We are all running on the Lord's time!

As many of you know, Bret and I have been waiting to adopt a baby for a while now. We learned a long time ago that the Lord has his own timeline for each of us. We told Miller at the beginning of the year that we needed to pray everyday as a family for a baby, and the Lord would bring us a baby. The year was coming to an end, Miller was questioning if we were praying enough, because we didn't have a baby and everyone else did! Tuesday morning, I was working at the hospital in Labor and Delivery assisting in a c/section. I found out shortly before the case, the mother was placing her child for adoption, but hadn't started the process. The social worker asked if anyone knew a family looking for a baby. Every nurse and even the doctor sitting there pointed in my direction. She asked if I were serious and I told her I was approved and waiting through LDS Family Services. So that is the agency she called for the adoption. The social worker found me a little later to inform me that the agency was called, but that she couldn't designate us as the family. They would choose the family that had been waiting the longest. As I was getting ready to leave to go home, Bret got a call from our case worker informing him that a baby had been born that day and we had been selected as the family. apparently this mother was given several profiles, our included, and she chose us. When I got home, Bret and I were discussing the situation. This child was exposed to some serious health conditions and possibly drugs. We were talking about whether or not we could take on a child with these problems. We decided that the best place to make this choice was the temple. We barely made it there. As I sat through the endowment session, I was praying so hard to have the confirmation to know that this child was meant for our home. A couple that we know was attending this session as well. The husband is deaf and so there was closed captioning for the session so he could follow along. About halfway through, the system wasn't working and there just happened to be a sister that knew how to sign for this gentleman so he could finish the session. As I watched that sister sign, I was so overcome with the spirit. I knew that had I given birth to this child myself, I would be okay with whatever ailment the child might have had. I knew that this child was meant for our home at this time. I couldn't wait to meet up with Bret in the Celestial Room and see what confirmation he had received. Of course, he was the first one into the Celestial Room and I was the very last, and it was full! I found Bret visiting with his brother Ryan when I finally made it through. We didn't even need to say anything. We knew this baby was ours. And the rest as they say is history. I have such a testimony that the Lord is aware of each of us. We are all given our own trials for our own benefit and the benefit of others. I am so thankful that we have the temple to clear our minds and bring us the knowledge that we desire in our times of need. Thanks Jessica for putting this blog together. I am sure that more and more people will contribute. I know I check it all the time waiting to see what is happening in eveyone elses lives. We love you all and thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. You were all a part of finding our miracle!

Love,

Bret, Wendy, Miller, and Porter (I still can't believe there are four of us now!)

Salt Lake Temple

*So I intended this site to be for all the Hadfield family to write on and share stories, but I seem to be the only one writing, so I guess I will just continue writing. Please feel free to share.
*Ben and I had the opportunity to go to the Salt Lake Temple. We walked around the temple before the session. There are lights and in one area they have a stable with the baby Jesus. There a manger is set up with christmas music playing. It is wonderful that in the middle of a huge, busy city with cars and street noise, that the story of the savior birth is unveiled. The only thing you can hear by the manger is the music of the savior birth, all the street noise just seems to disappear. It is easy to understand the true meaning of Christmas. If you haven't been to a live session before, You need to go, you are defiantly missing out.
Love you all. Hope you have a Merry Christmas.
